      Maggi Moss will offer this year’s GI La Troienne S. winner Big World (Custom for Carlos–Tensas Wedding Joy, by Broken Vow) at the upcoming Fasig-Tipton November Sale through the Bluewater Sales consignment. The 4-year-old filly, a five-time stakes winner, captured the 2015 GIII Tempted S. as a 2-year-old. She capped a four-race win streak with a 1 1/4-length victory in the May 5 La Troienne. On the board in all but one of 13 starts to date, Big World has won seven times for earnings of $629,190.

      “Big World has taken me on a great journey and her victory in the La Troienne was a highlight of my career as an owner,” Moss said.

      Big World’s juvenile full-sibling Gracida, a $400,000 Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream purchase by Amr Zedan, was a front-running winner of his debut at Del Mar Saturday.

      GRACIDA (r, 2, Custom for Carlos–Tensas Wedding Joy, by Broken Vow), acquired for $400,000 by Amr Zedan’s fledgling Zedan Racing Stables at the Fasig-Tipton Florida sale, made his debut a winning one with a front-running tally Saturday at Del Mar. Breaking a bit outwardly from the outside slot, the chestnut quickly shot to the front and cleared the field through a composed quarter-mile in :22.34. Turning for home with a commanding lead, he never allowed a rival to reach even terms and zipped home to score by some two lengths in :58.44. GRACIDA traveled to the West Coast following his March sale in Florida and drilled steadily at Santa Anita in recent weeks.       GSW BIG WORLD  winner of the G3 Tempted S. as a 2 year old, triumphed in a two of Louisiana-bred stakes at 3  and then scored big time in the LA Bred Premier Night Distaff S. in Feb. Delta. Off as the heavy favorite going 1 1/16 at Oaklawn in aloowance company, she pushed  the pace then moved  to the front soon after straightening for home for a 1 1/2-length win.  BIG WORLD has a juvenile full-brother named Gracida who brought $400,000 as a 2 year old in training at Gulfstream.  BIG WORLD is owned by Maggi Moss and trained by Thomas M. Amoss. Lifetime:  10-6-0-4, $428,400.

      At the Fair Ground, LUCKY BAND raced like a pro in her second start. Sprinting 5 1/2 she raced just of the pace and then came wide when it counted a scored by 1/2 a length. She made ALL her connections HAPPY in one fell swoop: LUCKY BAND is owned and was bred and aslo is trained by Peter L. He was puchased for brother trainer Doug O'Neill. From the O'Neill  barn came Derby winners NYQUIST and I'LL HAVE ANOTHER to name only a couple. The pair also bought Crosscheck Carlos last year.       SW BIG WORLD experienced a bumper car scenario coming out of the gate in the Si Cima at the Fair Grounds. She was hit hard on both sides and had to be taken up. She went wide, brushed again with a rival and checked in third. She has increased her earnings to over $258,000 for owner Maggi Moss. She is trained by Tom Amoss.

      Three year old filly CHINAWOOD broke her maiden earlier this year. Today she overcame traffic problems and steered clear for a win in her first allowance condition at Evangeline Downs. She has earned better than $50,000 for her owner John Duvieilh and Keith & Earl Hernandez. She is trained by Frank Leggio and was bred by Alston Thoroughbreds LLC. 

       

      Three year old gelding CUSTOMIZER shook clear and won his second race for owner Set-Hut LLC. He was sprinting 5 furlongs on the turf at Evangeline. CUSTOMIZER was bred by Perry Segura.

      Courageous Dave broke his maiden at first asking at Los Alamitos Race Course and won today at Del Mar, He stalked the pace several lanes out from the rail and cleared the field at the top of the stretch to go on for the win. He has not been off the board in 4 starts. Courageous Dave  was bred by the Coteau Grove Farm of Ginger and Keith Myers and was a $55,000 OBS June 2 YO purchase. He was claimed out of this race and we wish his new connections continued raing luck. .

Courageous Dave broke slowly then rushed into contention, took the lead turning for home and won while in hand. Courageous Dave is a graduate of the Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana Yearling Sale. Courageous Dave is in the stable of Reddam Racing LLC (Paul Reddam) and trained by Doug O'Neill, which is the same team that gave us Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I'll Have Another. Bred by the Coteau Grove Farm of Ginger and Keith Myers, Courageous Dave is the fourth winner from Custom From Carlos' first crop.

      Freshman sire Custom For Carlos had his first Two-Year-Old winner Thursday night at Evangeline Downs in Opelousas when his son Customizer led from start to finish and widened on the field in the stretch to cross the finish line ten and quarter lengths ahead of his nearest rival. His time for the five furlong event was a respectable 58:56. Customizer was bred in Louisiana by Perry Segura, who is the only living original incorporator of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association. Mr. Segura sold Customizer to Set-Hut, LLC (Jake Delhomme) at the Breeders' Sales Company of Louisiana Annual Yearling Sale in West Monroe, La last year. He is trained by Jake's father, Jerry Delhomme.
